This is a very rare "Kickin' It Up" resin (sculpted by Yvonne Johnson), a Traditional scale frolicking colt. He is the first of these resins painted, so he is engraved with a numeral one. Completely sanded/prepped as usual. I airbrushed him to a "baby black". He has a black topline and shading, with brown undertones, greyish tan belly etc, and pangaré. I gave him a white fuzzy star and two rear socks. His socks have pink tinted pasterns and heels, and cute ermine marks. He has dark front hooves, light rear hooves with dark stripes below the ermine marks, and lighter perioples on all. His soles and chestnuts were painted a greyish tan. I painted his eyes with lots of detail, using several colors and shading to create depth and realism. He has neutral pink inner nostrils. I finished him with protective sealer, matte finish, lightly glossed hooves and nostrils, and highly glossed eyes. He is an "Artist's Choice" edition, meaning I chose to paint him in this color. He is currently owned by myself, possibly for sale. Please ask if you are interested in buying him! Click his image below to see more pictures....

Another "Kickin' It Up" resin. He is the second of these resins painted, so he is engraved with a numeral two. Completely sanded/prepped as usual. I airbrushed him to a shaded baby chestnut with a golden belly and undertones. He has a dark shaded muzzle, around eyes, etc. He has a darker chestnut mane and tail, with multiple shades from dark to light. I painted a white blaze with mapping and pink tinting towards the muzzle, and a couple little "kissy spots".  He has neutral pink inner nostrils. He sports four white socks with pink tinted pasterns and heels, and light colored, detailed hooves. His soles and chestnuts were painted a greyish tan. I detailed his eyes with several colors and shadings. He is finished with protective sealer, matte finish, lightly glossed hooves and nostrils, and highly glossed eyes. Like the one above, this cutie is also an "Artist's Choice" edition. He is currently happily owned by Melissa G. Please click his image below for more pictures....

This is the Breyer Traditional scale "Silver" mold. I carved various areas, resculpted his face, added/sculpted details, and thoroughly prepped him. I airbrushed him to shaded liver chestnut with lighter belly, undertones, etc, and a dark topline. His flaxen mane & tail were painted with multiple colors. He has a large odd-shaped star with a few small dark pigment spots, and a pink-tinted snip. I painted high white socks on his rear legs, with a few ermine marks and other details. He has light mix rear hooves, dark mix fronts; light soles and chestnuts. His eyes are extremely detailed with multiple colors and shades. He was protected with clearcoat and matte finish. His nostrils were lightly glossed, his eyes high-glossed. He is quite proudly owned by Jill G. of Georgia! Feel free to click on his image below to see more of him....

This model started as the Breyer Traditional scale Cantering Welsh Pony mold. He is a 3-dimensional portrait of the Thoroughbred/Welsh Pony cross "Glenmore Shortcake" (aka "Opie") . The painting and alterations were done following pictures of the real gelding. I extensively reworked the mold, with a major amount of carving, sculpting, etc. I then thoroughly prepped the model, and airbrushed him to a shaded red bay with golden undertones and pangaré. His mane and tail are black, his stockings are bay and black. He has a small white star on his forehead, and a faint white line on his nasal bone above his left nostril. He has black shading, dark hooves with details, light soles and chestnuts, detailed nostrils, etc. I painted his eyes with extreme detail. He has clearcoat protection, matte finish, lightly glossed nostrils and hooves, highly glossed eyes. He is owned by Emily D., who also used to own the real "Opie" and is thrilled to have this portrait model in his memory! Please click on his image below...
